  • The EPA was blamed for the Animas River spill. Obviously they should have been more careful but the companies that made the mess get off without taking responsibility because of an antiquated law that shields gold mining companies from any regulation. They are not even required to clean up their messes. According to some research I did on the internet, another mining company located in Canada drilled from a mine called Sunny (I can’t remember the full name)
into gold king allowing tainted water to flow into gold king. I feel they should have to pay for the EPA’s clean up so the EPA will not be underfunded. How do you feel about this issue? I am also very worried about fracking. Thank you Jody vorwald
